1. Which Speakers should I choose? All our speakers are ready to party! To choose the right ones for your event, consider the following: 1-50 People: Our Tapco Thump TH-15A speakers are perfect for intimate gatherings. 50-150 People: dB Technologies Opera Live 405 or RCF ART 322-A works well for medium-sized indoor spaces and outdoor areas. 150-500 People: For larger events, go with our powerful speakers and subwoofers. For detailed technical specifications and more options, visit our PA Speakers category. ​ Note: If you see different options when selecting equipment, this usually refers to the number of speaker pairs available. Since stereo sound requires two speakers, they are typically provided in pairs unless otherwise specified. If you need a specific configuration or have any questions, feel free to reach out to us for clarification.
2. Does the service include free delivery? Absolutely! Delivery is free for selected packages within a 10 km road distance from our storage in Brunswick West. This is based on the actual driving distance, not a straight-line radius. If the driving distance exceeds 10 km, yes, even by just 100 meters, the standard delivery charges will apply. What is the free delivery procedure? When free delivery is provided, it includes dropping off the equipment at the specified address and collecting it after use. This service does not include setting up or dismantling the equipment unless requested. If setup or dismantling is required, additional charges will apply, depending on the size and type of equipment. Please note: Drop-off and pick-up: The delivery team will meet you at your door for both drop-off and pick-up. Setup and dismantling: If you require setup or dismantling (e.g., assembling larger items or ensuring the equipment is ready for use), this will be considered an additional service and charged accordingly. ​
3. How much is the bond? No bond needed! We have a legal agreement in place to ensure both parties are covered. Just make sure to provide all the necessary details for each booking.
4. What do I need to collect my equipment? Please bring your Australian Driver’s Licence and a Debit/Credit Card for identification when picking up or getting equipment dropped off. Without these, we can't release the equipment to you.
5. Which payment methods do you accept? Currently, we accept Cash, Cheque, or Bank Transfer via PayID.
6. Can I request equipment that's not in the packages offered on the website? Absolutely! Just send us a list, and we’ll send you a quote.
7. What other products can I consider that aren't in the packages? Consider these extras: Subwoofers Petrol generators Projectors + screens Strobe lights UV lights Lasers Smoke machines Disco lights Moving head lights And plenty more! Just let us know what you need!
8. What happens if a speaker stops working? If a speaker stops working after being tested in our garage, the responsibility falls on the customer. Our team will provide all the necessary information to help prevent any issues, so please don't hesitate to ask questions!
9. What does a thermal overload mean? Thermal overload occurs when a speaker is pushed to a high temperature due to excessive volume. To avoid this, keep an eye on the red light indicator on the speaker – if it starts flashing, lower the volume slightly. For larger parties, we recommend using an additional pair of speakers and/or a subwoofer.
10. Would you recommend a smoke machine? Absolutely! Smoke machines enhance the visual experience by making light beams more visible. They use water vapor, so they’re safe for people with asthma. Just check with your venue first, sometimes, they can set off smoke alarms.
11. How difficult is it to set up? Setting up is a breeze! Just connect both speakers to a power outlet and connect your sound source (Phone/Laptop/Mixer) using two cables (one for each speaker). Remember to make the connections with the speakers off and then adjust the volume to your liking.
12. Booking Terms & Conditions For full details, please refer to the complete Terms and Conditions, located on page 7 of the booking agreement. Below is a simplified overview: Eligibility and Documentation: Hirers must be at least 18 years old. A valid photo ID (e.g., Victorian Driver's Licence or passport) is required. Additional documentation, such as a utility bill or bank statement matching the name and address on the ID, may be requested for equipment valued over $2,000. A valid credit or debit card is mandatory and must match the details provided. Booking Process: Bookings are confirmed only after the $50 deposit is paid and the signed paperwork is returned. Booking requests are processed by sending paperwork and an agreement for signature. The $50 deposit must be paid promptly to secure the booking. Cancellation Policy: The $50 deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations made more than 24 hours after receiving the paperwork incur a $50 administrative fee. No refunds are issued for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up or delivery. Last-minute bookings (made within 24 hours of the event) are non-refundable and must be paid in full. Failure to pay incurs daily late fees. Payment: Full payment is required before pick-up or delivery. Payments are accepted via cash or bank transfer. Equipment Return: Hire period is for 24 hours unless otherwise agreed. Late returns may incur fees or additional hire charges. Late returns during peak seasons are charged as an extra day but do not permit keeping the equipment for another 24 hours. Any delays must be reported immediately. Responsibility and Care: Once the equipment is in your possession, you are responsible for any damage, theft, or loss. Legal actions may be pursued for unresolved issues. Equipment must be returned in its original condition. Cleaning or repair fees may apply.
